The all-powerful & all necessary movie poster!

As some of you may know, I like to blog about my entrepreneurial journey. I thought that I would share some of my ideas with Instagram. I want OPPRIME.tv to be a platform that provides tools for the artist to empower themselves. Of course, we are a video-on-demand site streaming award-winning movies. But our technology allows us to be so much more to the artist.

My vision for the Instagram page is to have powerful information for the artist. We have so many different type of artists that fall under the “independent film” umbrella. In this commune of opprimetv artists, we have filmmakers, actors, cinematographers, DP/DoP, writers, producers, directors, film festival CEO’s, directors & film festival staff.

I will always use this forum to share any metadata that I discover about the independent film industry in 2022, in order to help other members of indie film.

I would like to preview something that I would like to talk about very soon. This is especially important to the filmmaker! I want to implore the filmmaker to make a great movie poster. I want to get on my knees and beg the filmmaker to make the best possible movie poster.

1. You need a great horizontal movie poster that you will use as the thumbnail for your movie on our platform or Netflix, YouTube, etc.

2. You need a great Instagram (1x1 –box) movie poster to promote your film on social media.

I will be addressing this subject next week. I have to tell you the absolute truth. My job is to promote movies. That is what I do day in and day out. I feel I can say this with some credibility. In 2021 on social media, the movie poster is ALMOST as important as the movie itself.
